Wow Emma, you’ve travelled to so many places!!I hope one day I can do the same!!x

    • August 11, 2011 at 10:18 am #

Thanks Jen, I have, and consider myself extremely lucky to have done so! I am very lucky that my partner’s job has opened the door to cheap travel opportunities. If you want it badly enough I am sure you will travel lots… Maybe you could do a job that opens up the door to lots of travel opportunities? My partner works in the airline industry, but I also know a lot of people who have other jobs in less unstable industries that have enabled them to travel all the time, my uncle worked in world office for a large accountancy firm and has always been a globe-trotter, and my one of my cousins works for a foreign company in an administrative capacity and has travelled to Tokyo, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the past year alone. I think there are opportunities in pretty much ever field to take a role that involves you travelling.

I am in Canada…Summer of 2011 I left Winnipeg and headed north. Now I live in a small town called Pangnirtung wish is in Nunavut–in Canada’s Arctic. Pangnirtung is located on Baffin Island, off the Cumberland Sound–close to Greenland… I’m sure that
it would be cheaper to fly to Finland or Iceland!

I love how you’ve split up your bucket list into categories just like mine! I have a long way to go with mine (which is silly in ambition, length and difficulty), but I’ll go one step at a time.

      Hi Jez,

I appear to have a few years head start on you, I’m not he’ll bent on getting everything on my list ticked off necessarily, but it’s good motivation to write them all down, and I’ve done the majority of the experiences from the extreme section in the last year alone-so it can be done! Good luck with yours too. Have had a brief look from my phone, but will check it out properly later!

  6. March 13, 2012 at 12:52 pm #

WOW! What an inspiring bucket list! I love the way that you have split them into categories… a brilliant idea! Reading through the items that you have selected is just mouth watering, and well done for achieving so many already.

I have a “40 things to do before I’m 40” list and although I have recently hit 40, I am still determined to finish the challenges, and reading your post has inspired me.

Good luck on completing the remainder of your items.

Hi Emma – I’ve just discovered your blog and I really admire your attitude, and the list is really cool. I noticed this goal: ‘Go on a full-on pampering weekend in a luxury manor house spa resort with an in house gourmet restaurant’. The company that I work for has a sister hotel called Alexander House – here’s the website http://www.alexanderhotels.co.uk/alexander/. It also happens to have a deal on Living Social at the moment. Not trying to plug the company or anything, but I guess this is local to you if you were in the Sussex News, so it could be good? Enjoy!

    • January 31, 2013 at 10:12 pm #

Ooh that’s one place I would love to go for a Spa weekend! I’m very close by to Alexander House!

This list is awesome and what is really incredible is how much you have completed on it.

      Hi Simply Paul!

Thanks! There are little tallies at the top of each section, and a total at the top of the page…

Any items completed should show as ticked, and if I’ve written posts on them-they are shown as blue hyperlinks…

I hope that helps? Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a lovely comment 🙂

And this Paul agrees with that Paul. First time i’ve had time to see the whole list – oh my oh my – it’s stressful just looking at it lol. But I applaud you!

you’ve inspired me to make my own list!I only have one issue,I’m a big disney fan so one of my goals is , own every disney classic on dvd,but where am I supose to put that?

    • October 23, 2013 at 10:14 pm #

I have no idea-you may need to put a second home on your list!

Great that you’re starting one though! If I were you, I might opt for digital copies and just store the hard drives 😉

What else is on your list?

There are only 53 Disneyclassics, sequels are not classics 🙂 , I already have like 24 or something, but where should I put it on the list…it’s not an experience…and it feels so stupid and materialistic to write a list about thing I want to own…

a lot of disney things, traveling ( ofcourse living in Europe had it’s advantages, but I’d love to see America),doing some travel volunteering, sightseeing,…

Perhaps pop it under ‘other items’ it’s not about owning the items really, it’s about collecting something that is meaningful to you culturally, part of your cultural childhood heritage… It’s your list, so you can have whatever you want on it, and you don’t have to categorise it if you don’t want to… Just muddle all your list items together if you like!

Wow! What a list…absolutely amazing, and I can’t believe how many you’ve already ticked off! How did you come up with the list?

      Hi there,

Thanks for your comment… I think most of us have a list of sorts that forms slowly in our heads as we get inspired to try new things. Mine loosely existed before, but became more tangible after I lost my Dads… I wanted to ensure that I lived life to the maximum of my potential and didn’t waste valuable opportunities to soak up experiences and goodness around me.

If you’re interested, I wrote more about my inspiration here: https://emmasbucketlist.com/inspiration/

you are an inspiration to us all. I wish you a full bucket.. my apologies if this is out of line im at a loss as where to look for assistance to helping a dear friend fulfill her most important thing on her bucket list .. if you have any helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated. maybe there are some organizations that assist in this area. what she wants most of all is a quiet place on the beach where she can invite her loved ones at different times to spend a couple days of quality time. she has things she wants to say and wants a peaceful quite place to do it. that is what is most important to her. she has terminal cancer and has been given maybe a year to live. it is just to crazy and chaotic with all the people calling and stopping by to get out what she wants to say to each loved one. I have been putting together some fundraisers and was wondering if there are any resources that would help in this situation I just dont know where to look . once again I apologize if I have posted this out of context and I wish you the very best in your quest. sincerely Brenda…… God SPEED MY FRIEND••

I first came across Annette White’s Bucket List blog and found you through there. I have had a list of my own in my head for a while. When I turned 30 in February I started a blog, for writing mostly, and my first ever entry was 30 things I want to do before I turn 60. My health isn’t always good so I don’t know where I’ll be by then. I haven’t categorized my list like you, and there are more than 30 things. I live near Niagara Falls, in Canada. I noticed that on your list and think you should definitely make it over sometime. It is my favourite place in the world. So hard to choose. I hope to become a travel writer/blogger one of these days and sites like this are inspirational. I am visually impaired so I would call myself The Sightless Wanderer and would experience travel, without seeing, but through my own unique lens. Good luck with yours.

Your blog is one of a few on my list of favorite bucket list blogs to read. I am only in the beginning of my writing journey but I just wanted to tell you that your writing inspires me! I love reading about your adventures. I only read a couple (The Disney World post hits close to home!) But I plan on reading more! Thanks for the great posts!

Before leaving Phuket hotels for sightseeing, ask for directions on how to get to Old Town and
see its attractions. picture view of hills
which will make your stay more Wonderful. You can also see
that most of the tourists in Paris come under the age 26.
